
Soo Yun
Born in Seoul, Korea, in 1986, Soo Yun is a contemporary artist who earned her B.F.A. in
Painting & Print-making from Ewha Womans University in 2010, before moving to New York to complete her M.F.A. at the Pratt Institute in 2016, where she broadened her practical experience through internships with ceramic studios, galleries, and Gerald Siciliano's sculptor studio, culminating in her solo M.F.A. exhibition, MAW, and participation in subsequent group shows and residencies. After relocating her studio to New Jersey, she significantly re-launched her career in 2022, earning recognition like the “County of Bergen ARF Arts Grant Award” and the "Young Korean Artist Award" (Bronze), and has since expanded her exhibiting stage internationally, showcasing her work at art fairs and exhibitions in New York, New Jersey, Austin, Miami, and Seoul, and recently holding the successful solo exhibition, Origin of Camouflage.
