In Adventure

Living as a stranger in a foreign land and raising a child led me to explore the origins of my underlying anxiety. I revisited a pivotal childhood memory of being lost at the age of four. Since then, I have frequently dreamed of searching for my mother or finding my way back home. Paradoxically, I always experienced these dreams as cheerful and exciting adventures. Through my art, I seek to communicate this innocent perspective with my daughter. By returning to the mindset of a child her age, I soothe those complex emotions—at times fearful and vast, at times bursting with excitement—and transform them into a shared journey of discovery.
